Accessibility
Unjargoned is for everyone who wants to understand AI, so it has to work for people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have tested
On 3 October 2026 we checked the Today page, a story page, the level quiz and the sign-up page, on a computer and on a phone. They pass every check we ran:
- An automated audit against WCAG 2.2 AA, which also runs on every change we make.
- Using every link, button and form field with a keyboard alone, with focus always visible and never hidden.
- A screen 320 pixels wide, as at 400% zoom, with nothing cut off and no sideways scrolling.
- Wider spacing between letters, words, lines and paragraphs, with no text lost.
- Your device’s “reduce motion” setting, which we follow, and no animation that runs for ever.
You can change your reading level at any time, and every level badge uses a shape as well as a colour.
Where we fall short
- We have not yet tested the site with people who use screen readers or voice control.
- Other pages, including the Learning Hub, the tools portal and the certificate course, are checked automatically on every change, but have not yet had the full audit.
- Card payments happen on Stripe’s own pages, which we don’t control.
- The course’s Listen button and the Learning Hub’s audio use a computer-generated voice. The same words are always on the page.
