Our verdict
Being tested. An editor is using Piktochart hands-on; the verdict and score appear here once they sign it off.
What it does
Piktochart helps you make infographics, posters, reports and presentations. Choose a template or describe what you need, and its AI turns your text into a first visual draft, with icons, charts and a layout, which you then edit.
It suits charities, teachers, HR and marketing teams that need to explain information clearly.
Why use it
- AI turns a description or your text into a visual draft.
- Templates for infographics, reports and posters.
- Charts and icons help explain numbers clearly.
How it works
- Sign up on the Piktochart website.
- Describe your infographic to the AI, or pick a template.
- Edit the text, charts and icons.
- Download it or share it.
How hard is it to use?
Beginner Easy to start. You need an account, not any technical know-how.
It is template-based and simple, which is why we rate it Beginner.
What it costs
Free plan; paid plans. The free plan lets you make as many visuals as you like but download only two, as PNG images, with a monthly allowance of AI credits. Paid Pro and Business plans add unlimited downloads, more AI credits and premium templates, and Business adds brand kits.
Prices change often, so check Piktochart’s own site before you pay.
Watch out for
- The free plan allows only two downloads in all, so check before you build a big project.
- Check numbers and claims in AI drafts against your sources.
- Keep infographics simple: too much data on one page confuses readers.
